Project Details A Worthy Cause

Introduction

Project Self-Sufficiency of Northern Colorado has a mission to send single parents back to school so they can afford a living wage to support their children. I love what they do for our community, and I strongly believe in their mission and values. For the past five years, I've donated my time as a graphic designer to create social graphics and printed programs and posters for their events.

The 2023 Fundraising Event

This event would feature guest speaker Stephanie Land, so the graphics posted to social media needed to talk about the theme of “A celebration of Tenacity,” and also mention the special keynote speaker. I ended up creating several options for social media, and added them to Canva, so that the Project Self-Sufficiency team could edit the text as needed without needing to come to me every time they needed a tweak.

Results

This event gets bigger every year, and the 2023 event was no exception. The event was sold out, there wasn’t an empty seat in the audience. After Stephanie Land spoke, I don’t think there was a dry eye in the audience either. The attendees opened their wallets, and it was one of their most successful fundraising events to date.
